Overview

Dishwashers at Miso Phat Sushi ensure a clean and efficient kitchen by maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes, utensils, and equipment. This role supports the entire team at our Maui Coast Hotel location, contributing to a smooth dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors. Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal.
  • Equipment Support: Clean and polish sushi bar tools, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment to uphold presentation and hygiene standards.
  • Inventory Assistance: Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper handling of cleaning supplies and kitchen items.
  • Team Support: Help prep cooks or cooks with basic tasks (e.g., moving supplies) during downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Skills: Strong work ethic, ability to work quickly, and attention to cleanliness.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a wet, hot environment.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred: Positive attitude and willingness to support the team.
